I also bought the January edition of Australian Artist and was inspired by the article. I have a renewed enthusiam to do some portraits. The portraits using beeswax and mixed meida also fascinated me and I would like to see more examples and also find out if you are running any courses.

Dear Agata;
I see that there are so many people who have the January 2010 Australian Artist magazine and had been impressed by the techniques you use in your potraits. I also am one of them but only took the courage to write to you now. I must tell you that I'm very interested in doing some work using beeswax to the point that I've spoken to Jenny Valmadre and she was so kind in giving me some feedback. I have got Joanne Mattera's book foolowing Jenny's advice.
What I'd like to know is if you ever used wax on top of your pastel portraits as it seems you did in you Syrian Young Bride.
You can also visit my website and see some of my paintings. I don't have all my collection there because I need pictures with a better resolucion and that is what I'm doing now....
I really felt inspired by your portraits. I think it is a brilliant work and very different. Congratulations and I hope to meet you if one day you come to Sydney to teach here. Aren't you? i will be the first in your class... Beautiful work Agata!!

I, too, have the January 2010 Australian Artist and was very much inspired to try portraiture. Such beautiful and cleaver pieces. Just Love "Young Bride"'s techniques. This one was similar to Marcus Czaba style which I also Love. Agata's portaits on this web page are brilliantly done. P.S. "Adam" looks like my ex. Wonderful, wonderful work Agata!!!

I bought the January edition of Australian Artist and was very inspired by your art & article! I am particularly interested in your Syrian portraits using beeswax & mixed media. I would really love to see some of these paintings on your website. Don't get me wrong: all the paintings are stunning. I love experimenting with different materials and am working on a large painting but making the mistake of getting a bit lost in small detail and don't know what to do with the rest of all that space! Regards Ria d
